Lectio Divina: A Good Death

“A person has only died a good death when stalwartly accepting, like Jesus, one’s own internal god-forsakenness; only that is ultimate pathless mysticism.”
~Karl Rahner

Reflection:
How do I respond when God feels absent—do I resist the darkness, or can I remain faithful within it?

Scripture:
“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” — Matthew 27:46

Our human perspective can be challenged by a fallen world, a dark night. Searching our soul with a Zealous Heart we can find God. His embrace will not forsaken indefinitely; only from the bondage of self.
