forever

is now gone forever
everything taken for granted
flashes before our eyes
all that should have been
could have been
would have been
that can no longer be
in the blink of an eye
all the possible futures
now held in our hearts
overflowing
with joy
with pain
pouring out as tears
in the blink of an eye
