My enemy is my friend
my enemy is me
in God’s love and mercy
my brother and I are one
when I hate another
I am denying the God
that resides in them
I am rejecting the sin
that resides in me
the Lord says
to love my enemy
as myself
because my enemy
is myself
in that my enemy
and myself
are one in sin
and in salvation
