Grappling With Divinity

The Lord provides
even when it feels like loss
like pain
like death
like I cannot go on
like all that I once knew
all that I clung to
trusted and relied on
has been stripped away
and I am left alone
forsaken
weeping
longing
begging for light
connection
comfort
even here
especially here
in my agony
in the darkness
the Lord provides
the darkness forms me
shapes me
teaches me freedom
through poverty of spirit
reassuring me that He is enough
