Grappling With Divinity

Look for God
in the eyes of your fellows
in their smiles
their tears
their frustrations
their fears
look for the divine light
the image of the creator
in the eyes of creation
whether it be bright
radiant
illuminating
or dim and hidden
behind a lifetime of pain
look for God
in the eyes of the other
and you may find
the other is not other
but God looking back at you
