Grappling With Divinity

The Lord shines His light
on those things
we least want to see
those places of shame
guilt and fear
that we hide in the corners
of our being
those things that make us
feel unworthy
irredeemable
He shines His light on these
because His is the light
that heals
and He has heard our cries
to live in darkness
no more
