Grappling With Divinity

Grace is a gift
not easily accepted
pride and fear
guilt and shame
isolate me from the spirit
I hide in the shadows
undeserving
unworthy
unlovable
overcome with grief
and sadness
but His light shines through
the cracks in this facade
of self belief
