Grappling With Divinity

I was rescued
from the wilderness
by the Lord
saved from my own
selfish desires
and false worship
led back into His care
and protection
but in my weakness
I wandered away
from the flock once more
falling prey to the wolves
of temptation
who would have my soul
if it were not for the Lord
who always welcomes me home
when I repent and believe
upon Christ my savior
