Create a space in your life
where the world cannot intrude
a corner of light
within the darkness
a refuge of love
amidst the violence
a moment of silence
amongst the noise
find a secret room
within yourself
where none but the Lord
can find you
retreat to this desert of solace
this prarie of peace
this cave of solitude
as often as need be
until it becomes your home
and every moment
becomes communion
with the Lord
every breath a prayer spoken
